In Balzers the street between Höfle and Egerta passes the Old Churchyard and the Old Parsonage.
The small park is designed to bring the Old Churchyard and the Old Parsonage closer together. By focussing on a linear design the two areas are directly connected and form a landscape unit.
In the olden days, the historical tree line protected the Old Churchyard from the main road. The areaway of the Old Churchyard has now been designed with a line of lime trees. The voluminous plant islands offer plenty of space to create attractive pathways and enable the rainwater to seep into the soil.
The pathways are based on the architectural structures in the Höfle area. The projections and offsets of the buildings in the Höfle area are included in the project. These offsets are imitated in the structure of the pathways and open spaces in an abstract form and lead pedestrians and visitors through the area in a dynamic way.
