The training centre for biological agriculture of the non-profit organisation SAT (Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania) is located in Morogoro in Tanzania. The CISTI project (Curriculum Implementation Support for Training Institutes) offered by SAT at thirty schools in Tanzania enables students to train to become agricultural advisors. Young people who are eager to learn are educated and trained in the field of ecological agriculture.
The construction of an additional mud-walled house is aimed at expanding the existing training programme. The new infrastructure is necessary to offer additional training courses such as „ecological and sustainable agricultural methods“, „gender-sensitive agriculture “ as well as „climate- resilient cultivation methods “.
The aim consists in achieving food security and promoting sustainable environmental protection without the use of artificial fertilizers and chemical pesticides. Training young people to become agricultural advisors greatly contributes to improving food security and the living conditions of the rural population.
